Stora Ensos utökade produktionsverksamhet kommer att medföra ökade trafikmängder på järnvägstrafiken. Därför ska Trafikverket i samverkan med Stora Enso bygga 2st nya spår, 7st växlar, kontaktledning och belysning över tillkommande spår, servicevägar, slopa en obevakad plankorsning samt uppgradera en befintlig plankorsning till en A-anläggning (ALEX).
