- The alcon foundation accepts charitable monetary donation applications from 501(C)(3) charities with: High-quality programs and services, well-defined goals, a commitment to maximizing available resources, a reputation for meeting objectives, and the ability to report results. Applicants should review eligibility using the foundation's online eligibility quiz (https://www.alcon.com/about-us/corporate-giving/). Well-aligned applications can then be submitted upon successful completion of the online eligibility questionnaire.
- Deadlines
- Requests for more than $10,000 are accepted online between February 1 and July 31 each year.
- Restrictions
- Continued from above. Requests for $10,000 or less are accepted online at any time throughout the year. The alcon foundation increases access to eye care by supporting programs that provide eye care services, build eye care systems, and develop eye care talent. The foundation does not make donations to: NON-501 (C)(3) organizations, individuals or families; fraternal, labor, political or veterans orgs; organizations that discriminate on the basis of creed, gender, gender identity, national origin, race, religion or sexual orientation; K-12 schools or school-affiliated groups; athletic leagues or teams; programs providing adaptive services and/or technologies exclusively for the blind or people with low vision; religious-based programs for the purpose of furthering religious doctrine; fundraising events and activities, e.g., walks/runs, galas, dinners, golf tournaments, etc.; professional/industry meetings and/or conferences.
