- Simple gifts scholarship application (available at the website www.simplegiftsfund.org), current resume, three recommendations (teacher, peer, additional), counselor statement, transcripts of academic records, completed css profile, pdf document of sat,act, and subject test scores, copy financial award letter from college/university to be attended, and copy of letter(s) notifying the applicant of scholarships or fellowships granted.

- Restrictions
- The simple gifts scholarship is worth up to $50,000 per year to earn a four year degree at an out-of-state liberal arts college or university. Eligible students must be 1) United States citizen and resident of north carolina 2) have attended a high school located in sampson county, nc for a minimum of two school years, or be scheduled to complete a minimum of two years at time of graduation 3) be scheduled to become a high school graduate in year of the application or be a graduate of sampson community college 4) been accepted into and be planning to attend an accredited liberal arts college or university 5) rank in the top 25% of his/her high school graduating class 6) have an unmet financial need.

- Applicants committing to a six week full time summer project must submit an online application, resume, description of the project, a budget, timeline, and a copy of a valid north carolina teaching license accompanied by a recommendation letter.

- Restrictions
- The one time grants are for $10,000 each and will not be renewed. The grants are based solely on merit and the proposals will be judged on substance, clarity, feasibility and research. The selection committee will review the expected direct and indirect benefits of the grant proposal to the teacher, his or her students and the school system. The grants are available to teachers, guidance counselors and library media specialists that have been employed by sampson county or clinton city schools for at least two years. The applicant must be north carolina certified in grades K-12 and be employed full time. The grants will be taxable to the recipient and will state that the recipient will repay the trust if the project cannot be completed.

- Applicants should submit the online application (available at webstite www.simplegiftsfund.org), resume, a description of the proposed project that must include a title and summary of 50 words or less, a narrative of 500 words or less that explains the number of students served, what the students will learn, how and where the students will learn, why the project is needed, when the students will learn (timeline), how the project's success will be evaluated and how the project improves the student's knowledge and skills. In addition, a line item budget for the proposed grant must be submitted. If educator stipends are included in the grant, two separate amounts should be indicated in the budget and two checks will be issued (one to grantee and one to the fiscal agent). The educator will receive an irs income reporting 1099MISC for the stipend. Any additional support provided by other sources must be identified.

- Grants for schools up to $3,000 & individual stipends up to $1,000 will be awarded 3 times annually for the advancement of educators/students, to enable teachers to provide illuminating programs/opportunities for students in the classroom, after school, summer or weekends. Applicants must be a 10 month teacher, guidance counselor or media coordinator in sampson county or clinton city public K-12; have 2 years teaching experience; a full time educator spending at least 50% of the time in the classroom/classroom-like setting; returning to teach in sampson county in the next school year & have the proposal reviewed/approved by the principal. Funds May be used for resource materials, supplies, equipment, transportation, technology or stipends, the majority must be spent on materials/educational experiences for students with no lobbying/religious purposes.

- A letter of inquiry consisting of a cover page, loi detail and project budget, organization budget, board of directors roster, 501(C)(3) letter and most recent audit May be submitted via email to kbreeden@anonymoustrust.org. Acceptance of a letter of inquiry is accepted by request after advance conversations. The grant decision is made within 60 days from receipt of the letter of inquiry.
- Restrictions
- Simply east fund seeks to improve the quality of life for the economically challenged by supporting social service organizations that have impact and are doing the most good in eastern nc. The organization must have expenses of $5 million and under; be a 501(C)(3) in nc and the projects must be for the benefit of organizations based in eastern nc. The eligible requests May be for general operating support; support for ongoing or new programs or projects; capital requests for construction, renovation, purchase of a building or endowments; health/human service programs; youth education programs/schools. The grant range is $10,000 or higher.
