The following list is required in order to receive a grant: - be a 501(C)(3) tax exempt organization or the foreign public charity equivalent as well as government instrumentalities (for charitable purposes). - be registered with the secretary of state's office in the state where the organization is located. - be based in and serve communities where athene employees live and work. - have goals, efforts or activities that are aligned with one of athene's pillars - education, human sevices, health & wellness, environmental sustainability. - have mission and values that align with the foundation's and athene's mission and values, including supporting diversity, equity and inclusion. - agree to provide a post-event success report (what was achieved with the foundation's donation).
