- 1. Priority will be given to those organizations and activities that serve to improve the quality of life in the communities that centerpoint energy serves. 2. Contributions given by similar companies will be considered in determining the level of giving. 3. Generally centerpoint energy foundation will not make contributions to political, religious, fraternal, labor or veteran's organizations, unless activity is for direct community involvement. The foundation does not make contributions to issue-oriented organizations. 4. The centerpoint energy foundation only awards grants to organizations exempt from federal tax under section 501(C)(3) of the irs code.
