How to apply
- How to apply
- A short letter of two pages from the CEO or board chairman containing: - a short summary of the request, - a brief history of the organization, - the project need and impact, - proposed process outcome measures, - a copy of the most recent irs tax exempt determination letter, - a copy of your latest audited financial statement, - a current budget including budget impact of proposed grant request, - a list of gifts and pledges to date by category, - a list of projected sources to complete the project, and - a list of current board members and with their contact information.
- Restrictions
- No grants are made for undesignated annual fund gifts, retirement of existing debt, group travel for performances or competitions, projects that already have been completed, to private religious schools or to individuals. The foundation prefers projects of its own initiative, rather than funding unsolicited grants. Priority is given to matching fund requests. The board will only consider requests from us non-profit organizations for projects in the United States. Requests for projects outside the United States are not considered for funding. While the foundation will consider multi-year grant support, the project should not rely upon foundation grants for continuation. The project should either conclude at the end of the grant period or show a reasonable plan for moving to self-sufficiency.
