A letter and grant application, which contains a description of the organization requesting the grant and how the grant funds will be used by the organization must be submitted for consideration of a grant from the foundation. THE FOUNDATION ONLY CONSIDERS APPLICATIONS FROM ORGANIZATIONS LOCATED IN OR PRIMARILY SERVING COMMUNITIES WHERE THE COMPANY OPERATES ITS MANUFACTURING FACILITIES. THE FOUNDATION'S FOCUS IS ON DIRECTLY IMPACTING LOCAL COMMUNITIES. THE FOUNDATION'S EFFORT IS TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE BY SUPPORTING LOCAL AMENITIES, ONGOING PROGRAMMING AND UNIQUE INITIATIVES THAT FOSTER LONG-TERM DEVELOPMENT. ONLY ORGANIZATIONS DESIGNATED AS TAX EXEMPT UNDER SECTION 501(c)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE ARE ELIGIBLE. THE FOUNDATION DOES NOT FUND (A) DIRECT DONATIONS TO INDIVIDUALS, (B) SCHOLARSHIPS, (C) DONATIONS TO PUBLIC OR PRIVATE PRIMARY OR SECONDARY SCHOOLS OR SHCOOL GROUPS SUCH AS BANDS, SPORTS TEAMS OR SCHOOL CLUBS, (D) DONATIONS TO HOUSES OF WORSHIP OR ORGANIZATIONS SERVING EXCLUSIVELY RELIGIOUS PURPOSES, (E) DONATIONS AS SEED MONEY FOR NEW NON-PROFIT ORGANIZTIONS, (F) ENDOWMENTS, (G) GOVERNMENT AGENCIES OR PROJECTS, AND (H) POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS AND LEGISLATIVE LOBBYING EFFORTS.
