How to apply
- How to apply
- The general fund applications should be filed online at www.postandcourier.com/foundation. Applications must be submitted between April 1 and the last Friday in July. Donations to the post and courier foundation can be made by check or paypal, noting support for general fund. The good cheer fund is not open to applicants. Each day during the fundraising period, the post and courier newspaper publishes daily updates and inspiring accounts of how the fund helps neighbors in need through the seven good cheer funded nonprofits: Association for the blind, carolina youth development center, catholic charities, lowcountry food bank, salvation army, star gospel mission, and charleston leadership foundation.
- Deadlines
- The genenal fund accepts applications between April 1 and the last Friday in July.
- Restrictions
- For the general fund, the foundation does not accept applications from individuals, businesses, political or lobbying organizations. Applicants must serve the public good in the areas of civic, conservation/preservation, cultural/arts, education, and health/welfare. Applicants will need to be located in the "lowcountry" region of south carolina or in the area that the post and courier newspaper operates (aiken, georgetown, and kingstree). The foundation will not fund fundraising events, operating deficits or requests from agencies already partnering with the trident united way (we already partner with them).
